Home Rehabilitation & Modernization Program
- The program is a once in a lifetime basis grant and applicants may only be accepted once.
- Grant maximums are $30,000 for homes and $10,000 for mobile homes.
- Projects with costs exceeding the awarded grant may be funded by the applicant to make up the difference in agreement with the project contractor.
- Homes built before January 1st, 1978 require a proof of no lead paint certificate from an EPA-licensed and certified contractor to be submitted in the application.
The Home Rehabilitation & Modernization Program is available to assist home owners with a variety of home repair and upgrading needs. Not only can the program assist with major work including home foundation and roof repairs, it can also be used to modify a home to become more accessible for people with disabilities. Additions may also be constructed with the program to alleviate home overcrowding.
